Annnascott Turns One!

Happy Birthday Annascott!

What a joyful surprise it was to learn, on this day a year ago, that we would have another daughter in the family!

What a blessing it has been for Adah to have a little sister!
Your brothers adore you as well.

Each day your personality unfolds as we watch you grow up into a little girl.

SNOW!

Boy did we have some fun in the snow! The first half of the day we hung out in our yard. Then we raced over to my parents to enjoy some sleding down the hill in their backyard. You can tell from the pictures it was a big hit! Thank you Lord for a wonderful snow day!
Wow! It's really snowing!

Ok Kurt! You just sit right here and I will give you a push. You will love this!

HELP!

This is little faster than I thought it would be!

Brittian and Drew show us how it's done!

Ok guys, one more run down. You never know when we will see snow again!
Kurt, you go down with Brittian. You will have fun.
Hold on tight Kurt! We are flying now!

Lots of happy faces!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY KURT!

It's hard to believe that Kurt is now 3 years old! I can still remember holding him after he was delivered. The first thing I noticed were the big dimples on each cheek! I think he got them from his Poppie! Everytime he smiles they light up. It is hard to not smile back when he laughs and looks at you. What a joy you have been little Kurt!
Some funny things you say:
1) "hold you"
2) "tootie" for cookie
3) "I tell you something Mommy..."
4) and everytime the ketchup squirts and makes a funny noise, you say in all seriousness..."It tooted!"

Well, it is a tradition that I make the birthday cakes for the kids. They get to pick what they want...and I create it. Some have been a great success...others...well...have had a little too much salt in them. :) Poor Evan...that one was for his 30th birthday! Anyway, this was the first time that I did not have time to make a cake. So, thanks to Harris Teeter...Kurt had the perfect Backyardigans cake. I have to admit...it looked much better than it tasted.

Thanks Cousin Ben and James for my new webkinz!

Time for cake!

Kurt gets serious when it's time to eat!

Happy Birthday Kurt! We love you!

American Girl Doll Adventures

Just a few days before Christmas, my friend Jane, her girls, and Adah and I, took a trip to Atlanta to visit the American Girl Store. Adah was on a mission. She had reached her goal of saving $50 to contribute toward purchasing Ruthie for her Christmas present. Ruthie, happens to be Kit's best friend. Adah had received Kit for her birthday when she turned 6. Now, the friendship is complete! Kit and Ruthie!
Here is Kit's tree house. Julie joins in the fun too!

The girls were thrilled when we were able to eat lunch with their dolls at the bistro in the store.
The dolls get to sit in a special high chair at the table too!

What a yummy lunch!

The trip was a success and wonderful memory. We will have to go back when Isabella and Annascott get older!
