Special Neighbors

One nice thing about our new house...is that we are now neighbors with our dear friends the Timberlakes. We find it quite a party when we all get together. Between the two families there are 10 kids! We also enjoy fun activities together during the school year as each family is both homeschooling.

After dinner the kids enjoyed a little limbo game. I think Adah's gymnastic background gave her an unfair edge. It was fun to see the boys try to compete with her.

How low can you go...

Go Drew Man!

Special Friends in Town

A few weeks ago our good friends the Ethredges came in town for a visit. The kids love being together. We sure do miss them since they have moved to Charleston.

Addie and Adah...two peas in a pod!

Landon and Brittian...best buds!

Ready...set...launch! The kids had so much fun with the water balloon fight. It took Evan about an hour to fill up all those balloons. The fight lasted all of 30 seconds! At the end one of the boys ended up soaking us all with the hose. In the midst of the chaos I did not have a chance to get that picture.

Can't wait to see you guys again soon!

This year Adah wanted to have a Luau/Build-a-Bear/Sleepover Party. It was quite a PARTY!
Here are a few pictures of the girls and the fun times they had together.

Annascott could help but join the big girls!

Moving Day

Well, the day finally came for us to move from our sweet home on Sardis Forest Drive. We were all a little sad to leave...for this had been a peaceful haven to us for 6 years. It is hard to believe Drew, Kurt, and Annascott were all brought home from the hospital to this house. At the same time, we all agreed that our growing family needed a little more space... and everyone was looking forward to that change! The saddest part about moving was leaving behind our wonderful backyard with the perfect tree house Daddy had made.
Before we left I had to take a picture of my beautiful lilies...

The moving truck has arrived. The boys thought the huge truck was so COOL!

We sent the younger three to Grandmommy's house.

However, Brittian stayed behind to help the men load up the truck.

Boy was he a huge help!

One last picture of our first home!

Here are a few pictures of our new home.

We're are looking forward to having all our friends over!

Please don't hesitate to drop by if you are in the area!

We are just loving our front porch!

It's nice to take the time to be still and quiet!

Summer Days

It is so hard to believe the summer is almost over. Things have been crazy with our recent move. The boxes are getting unpacked and the school room is almost ready for another year at The Anderson Academy! My students are just thrilled about hitting the books. :)
Anyway, before we started another school year I wanted to go back and capture a few
of our summer memories.

Annascott enjoys her first ice cream cone all by herself! She felt like such a big girl around all her big brothers!

Boys can be so silly! What is he doing now? Maybe I should try that?

Brittian is such a sweet big brother. Always looking out for Annascott. At least most of the time...

Swim Team Memories!

This was our second summer swimming on the Sardis Forest Swim Team in our neighborhood. The worst part about the season is the 4-5 hour long swim meets! However, all the morning practices sure paid off and by the end of the summer...everyone had become a much stronger swimmer. Brittian and Drew were both "shrimps" - the 6 and under team. However, Brittian was asked to swim breaststroke and backstroke with the 7-8 year olds. Way to go Brittian! By the end of the season Drew was also asked to swim backstroke with the older group. Way to go Drew!

Adah swam on the 7-8 team. Her best strokes were back and breast. She was able to swim both strokes in the girls medley relay. Their team won first place several times! Way to go Adah!

Go Dolphins!

Here are some more fun shots of the swim season!
Drew tends to have some quiet focus time before his turn in the water!
Brittian is gets very intense before he dives in!

By the end of the year Drew's belly flops became dives!

In this event Drew won first place! Way to go Drew!

Adah, Brittian and Drew...your hard work sure paid off and Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you for the strong swimmers you have become. Kurt...we look forward to you joining the team next year!

Water Fun

This was one of those days that was just plain HOT! We couldn't get to the pool...so I just let the kids have fun with the water hose! Boy did they have fun!

Boys will be boys...
