Christmas at the Andersons

This year we spent Christmas day with the Anderson side of the family.

Here is Annascott checking out her new sleeping bag. I guess she will now officially join the crew for the overnight camping trips. Now, I have not excuse to "stay behind." :(

The boys with their new Lego reading lights!

Now, for the biggest surprise ever!
Grammy and Grampy surprised the kids with the Wii!
How excited they were when they opened this package!
The whole Anderson clan with our "Anderson's Custard" attire!
The newest addition to the family this year was little Logan!

What an exciting day!
Thank you Lord for family and good health and special times like these to share together.

Christmas 2010

Christmas Morning!
What an exciting day!
Aren't we all are "looking our very best" in our pjs with nice bed heads. :)
Why is it that these pictures never turn out the best? Oh well, I still have to post them so we remember what precious moments we spent together!

Here is Adah with her new cricut cutting machine!
Arts and crafts are her specialties! The Lord has really blessed her with the gift of creativity.
Next up! Drew with his new rip stick. I think he must have asked for this everyday for 6 months!

The boys with their new Lego toys!

Finally, Annascott opening her stocking goodies!
Lots of things were Dora this year!

After the present opening we headed to the kitchen for our traditional Christmas morning breakfast. Swedish pancakes with yummy raspberry sauce. Boy were they delicious. While we ate we lit the final candle on the advent wreath and listened to the Christmas story.
Happy Birthday Jesus!

Oma's cookies

It's an annual tradition! Every year a few weeks before Christmas the kids and I bake 3 dozen of my Oma's special sandwich cookies.
It is quite a project!

Britt is doing the cookie cutting!
Kurt is tasting while decorating!
One by one the kids grew tierd of baking but Kurt stuck it out to the very end. What a great helper he was!

Happy 5th Birthday Kurt!

This year for Kurt's birthday we invited a few of his close friends over to celebrate. It was his first little "friend party." We started the night out with a scavenger hunt.

The last clue led the boys to the mailbox where they found their party favors...a little Lego set to build.
After building time and pizza we played a few games like hot potato and even had a dance contest! I think everyone but Kurt participated. :)
Finally, it was time for cake and ice cream!

Happy Birthday Kurt! We love you big guy! What a blessing it is to have you in our family. You were such an easy baby with a quiet spirit. I still see that quiet and sensitive heart in you even though you are getting to be a big boy! We thank the Lord for the young man he is already preparing you to be. It is special to see how you have left my side and now long to be by your Dads. Continue to walk in his footsteps and keep your eyes on Jesus!
We Love you!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
