Anderson-Emmrich-Wright Beach Trip

This September we enjoyed our annual Anderson-Emmrich-Wright summer beach trip!
Once again we had wonderful weather and the kids had a blast.

This trip Evan rented a surf board and it was enjoyed by all the kids. Adah held her own pretty well. I think Drew enjoyed it the most...followed by Evan and Uncle Ben!

Such fun memories! Can't wait until next year!

The long awaited trip to Anderson's Custard!

Well, we finally made the trip to Buffalo, NY to visit family and the famous Anderson's Custard! The kids could hardly wait to get there. 11 hours later they were making their own custard sundaes and enjoying every bit of their first trip to the famous family store!

Niagra Falls

Our big day trip was visiting Niagara Falls!
It is such a beautiful site and the water displays such power!
We rode on the Maid of the Mist which is a boat that takes you close to the Falls and you feel the water raining down on you!

While we were there Evan's uncles took our crew out on the boat for the day. Everyone loved all the water activities! Especially Annascott!



Adah even got up on the skis! So, I decided to give it a try as well. After a few attempts and some battle wounds...I enjoyed my first time water skiing! I will spare you the picture. :)

Of course Evan showed us all how it was done!

Sweet memories of our trip to Buffalo

What a wonderful time we had in Buffalo. The kids will never forget making their own sundaes and eating lunch at the store. It was also so special being able to spend time with family. All of Evan's cousins were so kind to the kids and everyone made us feel so welcome and at home. We look forward to our next visit. Who knows...maybe this will become and annual Anderson tradition!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAH!

This July Adah celebrated her 10th birthday. Turning double digits was a big deal!

Her party was called, "A night out with Adah." That evening her girl friends enjoyed doing all of Adah's favorite things. They made a charm necklace, decorated their own cupcake, made a bracelet, painted a jewelry box, and even stopped off at the "spa" for a mani & pedi and had their hair done. It was a girl's night for sure! :)

Ocean Isle Beach...here we come!!!!

This year Evan and I actually enjoyed sitting in a beach chair and WATCHING the kids play in the ocean and in the sand. I think we have finally arrived to a new season in our family's life.
