Yeah! Fall is here!

This morning the kids went out for "recess" and Brittian came bounding back in shouting..."It's freezing out there!" Of course that's what it feels like once you are so used to all the humidity we have. The next thing I know everyone is pulling out all their winter clothes and coats...like it's December or something.

Adah was so "cold" that she got Annascott all dressed up too!

Isn't our little pink "bunny" so cute!
Ok, maybe we got a little carried away.
She was such a good sport.

Being the good mom that I am...I offered to take the kids on a walk. However, they convinced me that the playground in our neighborhood was a much better option. So, off we went!

Seems like there is always someone to play with!

My boys all tuckered out! But not for long I'm sure!!!

Fall Festival

Last weekend we went to Stalling's Family night. It was a beautiful fall evening and the kids had a blast riding all the free rides! Kurt's favorite ride was the train. He enjoyed that several times! As you can see Drew graciously joins his brother for the third time!

Adah gives us a few laughs! However, Brittian refused to poise as a pirate for us.

Next, were the fast rides. Evan was quick to jump on this one. He convinced Drew it would be great! Of course once the ride started the kids began spinning the teacup in more circles! Well, let's just say after a few spins and Drew looking glazed over and green in the face...Evan had the wisdom to slow things down a bit! Fast rides just aren't his thing.

We look forward to enjoying more fall weather as a family!

The Time Has Come

Well, I guess I've waited long enough. The time has finally come for our family to start our own blog. Evan thinks I'm crazy and wonders when I will ever find the time to update our blog. I guess he has a point. However, I'm optimistic! I'm sure somewhere between managing the ANDERSON RESORT and my principal and teaching duties at the ANDERSON ACADEMY ...I'll be able to find a few moments to occasionally give you a glimpse of life in the Anderson Household!

Family Beach Trip

A few weeks ago we went on our annual beach trip to Ocean Isle Beach with my parents, my sister and her family. Aside from the fright of Tropical Storm Hanna...we had a wonderful time! We actually discovered many sea treasures along the shore after the storm. Beautiful shells, starfish and a small octopus are only a few of the many items that were washed up on the beach. It was like experiencing an outside shell shop where all the shells were free. The kids had a wonderful time filling their plastic bags with huge conch shells!

Evan always keeps our trips adventurous. This year he rented a kayak. Adah, Brittian and Drew each enjoyed a trip out in the ocean with Daddy. I passed up my turn after I watched a big wave flip Evan and the boys out of the kayak!

Cousin James says, "open wide!"

Lot's of happy faces!

What a fun trip!

Can't wait to go again next year!
