Oma's cookies

When I was a little girl my dad's mom (Oma) used to make these German sandwich cookies for Christmas each year. They were my favorite. I can still remember having a hard time deciding which one one to pick. Of course the one with the most sprinkles was my favorite.
So, each year I try to keep the tradition going. Normally I let the kids use the cookie cutter some and then help with the sprinkles. It is always a huge mess and normally after a few tries they are tired and leave me all alone. This year, however I had 4 big helpers who really were helpers! It was a good thing...because I had tripled the recipe!

Here is Brittian hard at work making both sides of the cookie.
Adah took the cookies off the pan when they were all done.

Oh! Forgot to get our aprons on!

Drew was a great help making sure our cookie tops and bottoms matched.
